Tulunad has the best public transportation systems. Some of the best public transportation are Bus, Auto, Taxi, Rental vehicle. 

Bus Services

Local bus: These buses operate from the main bus stand (City Bus stand in Udupi and State Bank bus stand in Mangalore) and connect many areas within the city and the suburban areas. These are run by privately owned enterprises as well as the publicly-owned state transport corporation.

Express Bus: These buses take the passengers between all major towns. Express buses have few stops to reach the destination. 

Long-Distance Bus :

Bus services are available to reach the major cities of Karnataka state such as Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli, etc., Both KSRTC and Private Buses go to all these major destinations within Karnataka.

Also, there are interstate buses that go to different states of India like Mumbai, Pune, etc, which are operated by Private as well as KSRTC.

Auto-rickshaw

Another mode of local transportation is Auto-rickshaw. They are parked in Auto Stands and wait for the next customer who wants a ride. It is used for short-distance passenger travel and also to carry the carriages. They will provide door to door service.

Taxi Services

In Mangalore, Ola and Uber services are provided. Using this service, one can choose the time and place of pickup using their app and passengers can pay online. Also, sometimes they will get exciting discounts and offers. However, these services are not available in the Udupi district.

Rental vehicle

In tulunad, one can book any vehicle( car, scooter, bike, etc) for rent to travel. Most of the visitors prefer this service to reach their destination spot.
