Mangaladevi temple is a beautiful Hindu temple located at Bolar in the city of Mangalore, it is built by the king Kundavarman. It belongs to the Goddess Mangaladevi. The city of Mangalore is named after the presiding deity, Mangaladevi. Devotees from different parts of this country come to seek her blessing, also to get rid of their sorrows and difficulties.
Daily poojas are performed so as to keep her presence and to fulfill all the wishes of devotees, who come to her surrendering themselves to the goddess to get rid of their problems and difficulties in their life. The name of the city of Mangalore has also been derived from the name of Goddess Mangaladevi.
